Oklahoma security deposit return deadline calculator

In Oklahoma, the landlord has 45 days to return your security deposit or send an itemized list of deductions (41 O.S. § 115(A), (B), (E), (F); § 102(2)). Enter your move-out date to get the exact date.

Oklahoma: deposit (or itemized deductions) due within 45 days.

Add your move-out date to see the deadline.

  • The 45 days start only after all three: the tenancy has ended, you have handed back possession, and you have asked for the deposit in writing. Send that written demand: if you don't within 6 months after the tenancy ends, the deposit goes to the landlord.
  • If the landlord keeps any part, they must give you an itemized written statement, by return-receipt mail or in person.
