Kentucky late fee calculator: is your rent late fee legal?
What the law says in Kentucky: No provision capping residential late fees or requiring a grace period was found in KRS chapter 383 (including the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, KRS 383.505 to 383.715), so any late fee depends on the lease. The URLTA applies only where a city, county or urban-county government has adopted it (KRS 383.500); where it applies, rent is due without demand at the beginning of each month unless the lease says otherwise (KRS 383.565(2)). Other Kentucky statutes were not searched.
