Missouri late fee calculator: is your rent late fee legal?
What the law says in Missouri: No statewide cap, grace period or other rule on residential rent late fees was found in Missouri's landlord-tenant statutes (RSMo chapters 441 and 535, all sections read), so any late fee depends on the lease. Rent not paid at the time agreed by the parties is what triggers the landlord's action for possession (RSMo 535.010). Other Missouri statutes were not searched.
